George and Carolyn took
their grandkids with them to follow an ad in the paper for puppies
in Greensfork. At their grandkids insistence, they came home with
Mindy and the rest is history.
Mindy had always been
a pretty healthy dog until this past April when she lost her
appetite and seemed depressed. At first it appeared that she was
having an irregular heat cycle. Dr. Logue recommended a spay as soon
as she was well to avoid future problems. However, before we could
do the spay, Mindy developed a serious and life threatening
infection in her uterus called a pyometra.
Mindy is like a child to the
Staley family and they were very worried; so were we. Dr. Logue
preformed an emergency surgery to remove Mindy’s infected uterus and
we are so happy to report that although she gave us a scare, Mindy
has made a full recovery. She was feeling so good that it was hard
to get her to sit still to have her picture taken.
