Bird Grooming
One of our technicians, Faith Eversole, is available for your pet bird grooming needs. While TLC Pet Hospital does not currently offer pet care for avian or exotic patients, keeping those nails trimmed and wings trimmed can be an important part of keeping your pet bird safe and happy. Beak trims are not done for several reasons. The most important reason is that more often an overgrown beak is a sign that something internal is wrong and the bird needs to see an avian veterinarian. Be sure to always keep your bird in a carrier when taking him outside! Even with clipped wings, the slightest breeze can pick a bird up and could result in the loss of your pet. A carrier will also help reduce stress for your bird and will help prevent other tragedies.
