OraVet During a dental cleaning, your pet’s teeth will be scaled of tartar and plaque and polished to smooth the surface of the teeth. OraVet is then applied to help significantly reduce plaque and tartar formation by preventing bacteria from attaching to the teeth. The OraVet Barrier Sealant is applied at the veterinarian’s office as the last step of the dental cleaning process. It creates and invisible barrier on the teeth that makes it difficult for bacteria to adhere. After the dental cleaning is performed, you apply the OraVet Plaque Prevention Gel at home, once a week. This will begin at around two weeks after the dental cleaning. It’s easy to apply and takes less than 60 seconds per week. This gel will help maintain the barrier that was applied during the dental cleaning. OraVet is both safe and non-toxic and may be used in pets of any age. It’s effective with or without brushing and is convenient and easy to do. OraVet has been clinically proven to significantly reduce plaque and tartar formation. Preventing periodontal disease by keeping your pet’s teeth and gums healthy is not only for the veterinarian. Your job, as a pet owner, is to set up an at home dental care plan to help keep your pet’s mouth healthy between dental cleanings. At home care is just as important in controlling plaque and tartar formation as trips to the veterinarian.
