Preventative Care
We offer products for preventative care for a variety of diseases and parasites.
Hearworm prevention is available to help protect your pet against a heartworm infection. It also helps protect your pet against some intestinal parasites. We use Revolution heartworm prevention for cats and it also helps protect against ear mites, fleas, and other parasites.
Using a flea prevention, such as Frontline, will not only protect your pet against fleas, but also ticks. Preventing fleas means also helping to prevent tapeworms, which are carried by fleas.
Preventative care not only includes using products to prevent disease and parasites but also staying up to date on your pets examinations and vaccinations. Your pet needs to be examined every six months since they age so much more quickly than we humans do. For this reason, illness can creep up on them very quickly and it's best to have them checked out more frequently.
