"Ellie" Pipes
April 2020
Ellie was adopted at 3 months of age in the Fall of 2005 from HELP the Animals Inc. We believe she and her siblings were born on July 4th of that year. She will be 15 years old this summer. The first part of life in our family was as her Mom’s running partner. She would run throughout Centerville on the weekends, and many folks still ask about Ellie even though Mom is running by herself now.
Ellie has no recollection of her shelter life as she now has the entire house at her disposal, sleeps with Mom and Dad every night, and roams her 2 acres of property every day. She loves her yard in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. She used to chase bunnies, squirrels, and the occasional cat that wondered into her yard. She is a little slower with her age now and just roams around enjoying the smells, gentle breeze, and her patio. She loves laying in the sun and taking the occasional outdoor nap. During the winter she enjoys napping in the front guest room (now Ellie’s room!) where she can look out the window and still keep tabs on her property. She is well loved by all those who visit, her neighbors and friends. We hope to enjoy many more years with her. Thanks to Logue’s TLC Pet Hospital for helping us take care of her all these years! ~ Karen & Greg Pipes ~ |
