"mila" easley

November 2020

Ms. Mila, our beautiful Golden Retriever has filled a huge void in our family after we lost our other Golden, Maggie, a few years ago. Mila is a super energetic puppy! She is overly friendly to everyone she meets, including the skunks, possums, rabbits, and especially the squirrels who wonder into her yard! She is totally lovable and huggable, as well as a bit mischievous, which tends to get her into trouble occasionally! She regularly gets the "Zoomies", according to her human sister, when she does a few laps around the back yard as though she is at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway racing AJ Foyt and Tony Kanan!!

She loves chewing on things and unfortunately this caused her to be hospitalized earlier this year. While chewing on a toy, part of the toy shredded, and she ingested some of the pieces. She nearly died due to a linear blockage when pieces of the toy got stuck in her intestines. If it weren’t for both Drs. Logue and their amazing teams’ quick actions Mila would not have survived.
The love and compassion they have shown to Maggie, Mila, and to my family was, and is beyond compare. We are forever grateful! The great news is that Mila has since completely recovered and is back to her happy old self, which means she is still zooming around the back yard! And she still loves to chew on things, although her variety of chew toys has greatly decreased as she is no longer given toys made with rope or fabric!
We are blessed that the team at TLC has been, is now, and will be for years to come, part of our family!
